Summer Reading and Learning
Each summer, we strive to prevent the summer slide by incorporating as many learning opportunities and educational experiences into our programs as possible. Last summer, with a large thanks to our summer reading requirements, our students not only prevented the summer slide, but they actually learned. Here are some statistics from last summers reading pre and post tests.
T-Shirts
All campers will receive a camp T-shirt . Shirts will be washed after field trips on Friday and kept at the club to prevent lost or missing shirts.
Helpful Reminders
- Please send children with bathing suit, towel and sneakers every day.
- Children must arrive on time for field trip days, or children will not be able to attend that day.
- All payments must be received in full the week before children begin Summer Session.
- Staff must be notified of children who take medication.
Physical Examinations
Any child with restrictions/limitations needs to provide a physician’s note and if the child is on any medications, they must fill out the necessary forms at the Club.
Summer Session Programs Include:
Swimming, Triple Play– Body (Gym), Triple Play-Soul (Game room), Creative Minds (Art), Nature and Gardening, Summer Brain Gain, Boston Science Museum, DIY STEM, Building Blocks, Lyricism 101, SmartGirls, Passport to Manhood, PLAY BALL, Photography.
Summer Specialty Programs Include:
Triple Play– Mind (Nutrition), Office of Justice Mentoring, All-Stars Prevention, App Inventor, Basketball Teams, Soccer Clinics, Drama Matters, Girl Scouts.
Hours and Fees
Monday through Friday
Summer Session hours are from
8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Program activities are from
9 a.m.—4:00 p.m. daily including field trips
Late Fees
Late fees are applied if child is picked up after 5:30 p.m. at $5 for the first 15 minutes, then $1 for every minute thereafter. Late fees must be paid before the next week of camp or the child will be taken off our Summer Session roster.
Fees
$ 40 Membership – Annual Fee
$198 per week (multiple child discounts
available for full-pay families)
All fees are due the Friday prior to each session.
