Job Description:To transport Club Member participants from school or home to the Boys & Girls Club Family Center and home following program participation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Transport Club Members from their school location to the Boys & Girls Club Family Center and home following program.
• Ensure the vehicle is adequately fueled
• Report maintenance concerns to the Assistant Executive Director
• Enforce established Behavior Expectations with Club Members while transporting
• Follow all traffic safety rules and regulations
• Complete documentation requirements (transportation log sheets, vehicle inspection sheet, Incident Reports, Injury/Illness Reports)
• Ensure Club Member safety via use of safety belts, booster seats and youth remain seated while in transport
• Complete and maintain up to date all required Department of Early Education & Care Trainings including First Aid/CPR.
• Attend annual review trainings at the BGCFC.
• Participate in coaching and supervision as assigned by Assistant Executive Director
Minimum Qualifications:
• Preferred candidates should be at least 21 years or older
• Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record for 3 years,
• No experience is necessary but must possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, Massachusetts school bus certificate and a DOT medical card.
• Maintenance of Yearly Physical, Certifications, and license requirements for the position.
• Good attendance and reliability are a must!
• Be willing to complete a BRC, CORI, DCF and Fingerprint checks. Individual should be able to climb stairs and be willing to be trained in First Aid/CPR.
Hours: Monday through Friday. Morning Routes and after school routes. Hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the Club as determined and directed by the Executive Director.

Youth Development Professional
TITLE: Youth Development Professional
REPORTS TO: Program Director

Pay Rate: $14.25- $15 hr (Based on Experience).
Job Description: Totake responsibility for oversight of the implementation of various arts and crafts, gym, game room, STEM, educational and computer activities for groups of age-specific children, and assisting with the planning, preparing, and delivering activities. Must be upbeat and motivated, able to keep alert, be fully aware of all members in your care & participate in activities with group as directed by supervisor. Must comply with all COVID-19 best practices and safety procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Always focus on the children while maintaining safety and adherence to BGC
Family Center Behavior Expectations. Welcome and get to know the Club
children. Ensure their enjoyment. Assist team with the care for and
encouragement of children and integrating unhappy children with activities.
Participate in mentoring program facilitated by OJP Coordinator. Follow activity
list provided to raise awareness of factors that affect at risk kids. Actively engage
in 1:1 group, and/or peer mentoring to promote outcome of building self-
confidence, self-awareness, and positive self-esteem.
Ensure the Health and Safety of children. Be fully aware of Health and Safety
policies and inform the Director of any contravention of policy. Ensure the YDP
staff makes children in their group aware of all risks and relevant safety policies.
Become aware of EEC regulations and requirements.
Participate in planning, preparing and delivering quality, fun program of activities,
integrating your own ideas and utilizing those materials available on BGCA site.
Prepare in advance for each session ensuring there are enough resources
available. Encourage teamwork.
Collect and complete all documentation requirements from YDP staff as
assigned.
Ensure the safe and effective use of venue facilities and equipment. Respect the
venue facilities and ensure they are treated with care and left clean and tidy at
the end of each day. Check the equipment and resources daily to prevent loss of
equipment and identify damaged items. When leaving an area, make sure all
items are returned properly and areas are cleaned. Maintain and record details of
stock replenishment required, and report directly to the Site Program Director.
Must exhibit a positive attitude, embrace teamwork and participate and complete
all required trainings.
Assist with general programming. Attend all staff meetings and in-service
training.
Actively participate in monthly coaching/supervision sessions with reporting
supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be eighteen years or older. A high school diploma. Minimum of six months experience working with youth population preferred. Should be familiar with the Boys & Girls Club of America Mission. Ability to pass a CORI check.

TITLE: Certified Lifeguard
REPORTS TO: Aquatics Manager

Job Description: Maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas.
Creates a safe and positive atmosphere which promotes member safety and
engagement in accordance with BGCA Family Center policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintains active surveillance of the pool area.
2. Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in
accordance with Boys & Girls Club Family Center policies and procedures. Creates reports as required.
3. Maintains effective, positive relationships with club members, families and staff.
4. Knows and understands and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and
aquatic area. Maintains accurate records as required by the Boys & Girls Club Family Canter and/or
Health Department code.
5. Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed.
6. Checks pool for hazardous conditions upon arrival.
7. Performs chemical testing when not guarding, as required, and takes appropriate action.
8. Attends all staff meetings and in-service training.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 18 years of age. Must be certified in CPR for the professional Rescuer, AED,
Basic First Aid and Emergency Oxygen. Currently Lifeguard certified with the American Red Cross or
equivalent. Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness. Able to see and observe all
sections of the assigned zone area of responsibility.

Pre-School Teacher
TITLE: Pre-school Teacher
PAY RATE: $15.00 – $17.00 Per hour (commensurate with experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and implementation of the daily pre-school activities.
This is a full-time position, with a schedule that runs Monday through Friday with team members sharing
staggered 8 hour shifts of coverage inclusive of a 30 minute break; from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. S/he will
lead activities based on the Creative Curriculum, maintaining high educational standards and adhering to all
EEC and Club regulations. S/he will create and implement lesson plans, foster good communication with
parents/caregivers, keep accurate records on all children in the program, plan field trips, evaluate and test
children as required, and ensure that each child receives the care and attention he or she needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Keep safety of children as a first priority – with emphasis on an atmosphere that is family- friendly,
age-appropriate, inclusive, and conducive to a quality-driven environment
Use positive and constructive methods of behavior guidance
Supervise children and manage transitions smoothly to ensure safety and appropriate behavior
Provide children with a well-balanced curriculum of specific, planned learning experiences that
support their social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development
Utilize curricula which is developmentally and linguistically appropriate; provide for the development,

Weekend Maintenance Assistant

Job Description:
Assist Maintenance Director with general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in maintaining building,
adjacent walks and grounds, and equipment in clean, orderly and functional condition.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: As directed by Supervisor.
Perform routine, repetitive daily inspection and maintenance necessary to building
exterior/interior
Maintain cleanliness of the halls, classrooms, offices, lobby and common areas
Performs semiskilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair and
construction tasks in the upkeep of the Club
Assists and performs with maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building
maintenance trades, such as painting, electrical, basic plumbing
Maintains building in clean and orderly conditions
Inspect properties and communicate with management regarding proper grounds keeping and
general cleanup and maintenance
Perform general building keeping on a daily basis; inspect outside of building areas, insure
disposal areas are kept clean and in a safe condition
Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs
carpet; performs custodial duties as required
Maintains accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules, and MSDS sheets.
May perform weekly safety checks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment
