Duane Davis – Alumni Hall of Fame Honoree

Duane was born here in Springfield, MA. Duane was fortunate to live on Maynard Street two blocks from the Family Center.
Duane was a member of the Boys & Girls Club Family Center as a youth.

Duane was also a member of the Frank Hatchett Dance School which assisted in providing the opportunity to tour Japan dancing and, perform on Broadway with actors Jennifer Lewis and the “late Gregory Hines”.

After high school, Duane served as a member of the United States Marine Corps in the Gulf War, Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Recently, Duane was on the coaching staff for the 2018 High School State Champions the Central Golden Eagles.

Duane returned home and became an active member of the Boys & Girls Club Family Centers Alumni board.

A recent retiree from Verizon, Duane continues his support for the Family Center by teaching Conga drums to our youth and helping out whenever possible.
